Fabric Care

Thread Lace Scarves - Hand wash gentle, dry in your dryer with one of those fabric softener sheets & then press with a medium iron, gently. These scarves may need a trim occasionally like your hair. If it gets caught on anything and ripped, it can be easily stitched back together on a machine using normal thread of the same colors
Half Thread Lace Scarves - same as above
Rag Scarves - same as above, but these scarves are more durable and can be thrown into your machine to wash as well. They will change over time if washed a lot but in a good way, they age well, like a person. Or Dry Clean.
Half Rag Scarves - same as Rag scarves.
Hand Painted Silk Organza Scarves - Machine wash or hand wash, just use a gentle soap like Ivory liquid, or gentle dishwashing liquid, like Palmolive. Woolite is not a product I use. Throw in the dryer with dryer sheet and then iron, with a steam setting at cotton setting. You will need to pull on the binding edge slightly to get it to flatten out exactly as you received it; it tends to bunch a little in washing. Or you can Dry Clean.
Men’s Ties – Dry Clean only !!!!

Fabric by the yard - Machine wash, dry & iron as you would other cottons, silks, rayon, linens.

***** Recommendation
· “Janie” is a spot removing chalk that really works. I have seen them sold at drug stores, and Joann’s Fabric stores, they may even be in grocery stores now.
· Silks do not like alkaline washing products, just as your hair would not like your deodorant soap. Use a gentle product like Ivory. The softener dryer sheets really make a difference in maintaining the soft hand of the silks.
